Appearance: New foliage emerges with a striking maroon to reddish-purple blush before aging into broad, wavy, bright green leaves.

Placement & Size: Grows 12–16+ inches tall, making it best suited for midground or background placement in medium-to-large tanks.

Lighting: Thrives under moderate to high light (higher light enhances the red tones).

CO2: Not Required.

Feeding: As a heavy root feeder, it relies on nutrient-rich aquasoil or root tabs packed with iron and trace minerals rather than liquid fertilizers.

Propagation: Frequently sends out flowering stalks that produce small daughter plantlets. Simply snip these off once they form roots and press them into the substrate.
